A new CNN poll found that President Biden’s approval rating is at 39%, down from 45% at the beginning of the year. The poll also found that 61% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s job performance.
The poll, which was conducted by SSRS, also found that former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is the only Republican presidential candidate who is leading in a hypothetical matchup with Biden. Haley led Biden 49% to 43%. Every other major Republican candidate remains neck-and-neck with Biden.
The poll’s findings suggest that Biden is facing an uphill battle in the 2024 election. However, it is still early in the race, and things could change significantly between now and then.
