Behind the Poll
Believe it or not, 56% of Americans believe democracy is under attack in the U.S., according to a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS. More than half of respondents (51%) say it’s likely that election results will be overturned by the losing party.
Surprisingly, serious concerns about democracy span the political spectrum. Nine out of 10 Americans feel that democracy in the U.S. is at least being tested: 93% total say that democracy is either under attack (56%) or being tested but not under attack (37%).
