The poll was conducted by the Washington Post, Ipsos, and FiveThirtyEight. It was conducted online from July 13-15, 2023, among a sample of 1,004 potential Republican voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.5 percentage points.
DeSantis was already well-known and popular among Republicans before the debate, with most having a favorable opinion of him. Ramaswamy, on the other hand, was less well-known, with almost 40% of voters saying they had never heard of him or had no opinion of him.
