Elon Musk once again blasted President Trump’s sweeping “big, beautiful bill” on Saturday, calling it a political disaster for Republicans and a threat to the U.S. economy.
“Polls show that this bill is political suicide for the Republican Party,” Musk wrote on X, the platform he owns.
In a separate post, Musk didn’t hold back, describing the legislation as “utterly insane and destructive,” warning that it would lead to massive job losses and long-term damage to America’s economic future.
“The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!” Musk said. “It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future.”
This isn’t the first time the Tesla and SpaceX CEO has taken aim at the bill. Earlier this month, Musk labeled it a “disgusting abomination,” criticizing the scale of the spending and the carveouts included in the package.
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” he posted in early June.
“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” he added.
Musk’s sharp criticism comes as Senate Republicans push forward with final negotiations, aiming to deliver the bill to President Trump before the July 4 deadline. But with influential voices like Musk warning of economic fallout and political consequences, the bill’s path remains anything but smooth.
