Should Biden Approve a Major Disaster Declaration for Texas? Trump – Biden – Pelosi – Kamala – Impeachment – Economy – Stock Market Show Comments 21 Comments Barbara on February 18, 2021 YES HE SHOULD SEND HELP- JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE PART OF THE USA. THEY MIGHT NOT THINK LIKE BIDEN BUT TO WITH HOLD AID WOULD BE CRIMINAL ON ALL FRONTS. BIDEN FORGETS IT COULD BE DC OUT OF POWER AND ROAD CLOSURES. R Walker on February 18, 2021 President Biden never said he would not send help. Actually Sunday Feb 14, 2021 – President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Approves Texas Emergency Declaration. I find it amazing people scream no “socialist”, until they need something. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2021/02/14/president-joseph-r-biden-jr-approves-texas-emergency-declaration/ Marissa Thomas on February 18, 2021 If you do not see the difference between saying we do not want socialism, to have the Government help in situations of a mayor disaster, you have “problems” Douglas on February 18, 2021 It does not matter to President Biden who needs aid in this situation. He just knows that it is the right thing to do. It is you, Barb, who doesn’t understand or accept that President Biden cares about all of us! You should be ashamed of yourself for thinking otherwise! Cliff on February 18, 2021 That’s BS and you know it! Dementia-Joe care only about himself and his crime family. FORCING unreliable “green energy”, and the mandatory “cutting back” and shutting down of the generation stations by the “global warming” morons, caused the problem they should FIX their SCREW-UPS. Typical COMMUNISTS.Always trying to CONTROL everyone and everything and Texas is “paying” for their short-shortsightedness. R Walker on February 18, 2021 Well of course they should get Federal Assistance, although many leaders from the state scream they don’t want the “socialist” in office. Very few of their supporters actually know how much the government actually does for it’s citizens. Richard on February 18, 2021 Helping the people of Texas has nothing to do with socialism. It is the main job of a Federal government to aid and protect it’s citizens. Making this political shows nothing but disrespect for the suffering of the Texas people. sandrad720 on February 18, 2021 biden needs to put the pipeline back and leave it alone so this doesn’t happen again!! Douglas on February 18, 2021 Texas is a state in the United States of America. Of course they should receive aid. No matter what their politicians believe. That is what our government should do! No matter who is presiding. It is not a political emergency. It is a natural disaster emergency! Richard on February 18, 2021 For the first time probably ever you posted a coherent thought and I agree completely with your post. Don Nicholas on February 18, 2021 If they play politics with anything like this it’ll just speed up seeing the reality of socialism. Of course their media will give them any necessary cover. Sharon on February 18, 2021 Last I looked, Texas is part of the United States of America. That means that when natural disasters happen, the Federal Government is SUPPOSED TO HELP OUT! These storms are beyond the normal for that part of the country. I would expect the Government to help out ANY STATE OR TERRITORY that needs it due to circumstances beyond their control. Douglas on February 18, 2021 You are sooo right Sharon! Greg D on February 18, 2021 Texas like any other state, when in serious trouble, like from a devastating hurricane, earthquake, forest fires, ice & snow storms and so on, are eligible for Emergency Gov’t. Aid. / In Texas case… their very unusual snow & ice storm, is affecting other states, as well and is causing food and supply chain problems with anything coming from or to Texas. This ISN’T just a Texas Emergency its a multiple state concern and needs to be addressed by WASHINGTON DC . but, don’t hold your breath. Notice, that gas prices have gone up approx. .40gal. of late. Bon Appetit. Texas can’t just flip a switch and turn back on the lights. Its going to take the cooperation of a few states power plants and grid system, to coordinate getting Texas back up on line. Could be several more days. Doug Litchfield on February 18, 2021 When Texas or any state accepts aid from the Fed’s, the knee will come down on the neck for many years to come. This equates to more bailout of failed greenie agenda and easily duped politicians meddling in areas they are ignorant of. marcia on February 18, 2021 Since the pandemic is a disaster, why was that politicized? Huh? It should never have been politicized but the Dems can never pass up a good disaster to get rid of a man they despise. We need to help each other no matter what kind of disaster we’re in. Texas proves we have to have a combination of fossil fuels and green energy. I’m all in favor of green energy but here in Michigan our solar panels are under inches of snow, not just a dusting of it. They aren’t working. Our windmills, however, are working unless we get ice. With our record of thaw and freeze, they are not reliable. You can’t just shut down a pipeline unless back-up systems are in place. We love making wonderful decisions, but can’t get past that to think of all the consequences. We need to focus on the end game. MARK on February 18, 2021 HERE WE GO THINKING JOE IS GONNA SAVE THE WORLD. HE’LL STRETCH OUT HIS LOVING ARMS AND EMBRACE AMERICA. YOU THINK THE PEOPLE OUT HERE ARE STUPID.JOE IS GOING TO DO WHAT THE LEFT TELLS HIM TO DO.TEXAS DIDN’T PUT HIM IN OFFICE. IF HE WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING HE WOULD HAVE HELPED BY NOW, NOT TOMORROW. IF JOE CARED ABOUT AMERICA HE WOULDN’T HAVE SOLD OUT. HE ONLY CARES ABOUT HIS FAMILY,AND THE MONEY THAT CAN BE MADE.EVERYBODY SEES IT. HE IS CRIPPLING AMERICA’S ENERGY WITH HIS EVIL PEN. Hal Lemoyne on February 18, 2021 It’s painfully obvious that Texas will probably greatly suffer for not being/turning blue and that will continue until Texas and mostly all US States become blue and biden/harris are going to make their hateful demoncrat blue will reality regardless ❤💥👍CHRISTrump and all his US TRUMPlican Lawmakers successfully US 2020/2021/2024 Reelected Landslide Amen & Amen👍💥❤ Marissa Thomas on February 18, 2021 Texas like any other State facing a major disaster should get help, but I do not expect this band of haters wackos doing anything, as they are happy TX is suffering. Roy Squires on February 18, 2021 Joe Biden and the Federal Government can keep their charity and stay out of our way. We do not need their assistance, we do not need their opinions, and surprisingly, we don’t need their money. What we need is for them to get the hell out of our way and leave us alone. Of course, this cold snap has allowed them to kill off a few minorities with their stupid policies and the imposition of rolling blackouts, which affected low income families with loss of electricity and large swathes of South Texas with no water for three days. I have a better suggestion, the Democrats, the Federal Government, and all of their supporters can caravan their butts home to California, Michigan, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Mexico, South America and the Middle East, and ruin their own homes, leave us alone. You can even take some of our more prominent loud mouthed idiots; Like Robert O’Rourke, a.k.a. Beto (a name he uses to encourage Tejanos into believing that his white Irish heritage has a relationship with the historical heroes of Texas.) Beto, Biden and the rest of Democrat Party Cabal can all take their US tax dollars and do something useful. Don’t spend it. Al DiGiovanni on February 18, 2021 Texas is USA and deserves assistance in its time of distress. States rights is not a secession from the USA, it is a definition of functions, in that states have rights not given the Union as defined by the constitution. Simple as that. So give them a helping hand. Comments are closed.
