On Thursday, July 29, former President Donald Trump posted the following message about Mitch McConnell on his Telegram channel:
“Under the weak leadership of Mitch McConnell, Senate Republicans continue to lose. He lost Arizona, he lost Georgia, he ignored Election Fraud and he doesn’t fight. Now he’s giving Democrats everything they want and getting nothing in return. No deal is better than a bad deal. Fight for America, not for special interests and Radical Democrats. RINOs are ruining America, right alongside Communist Democrats.”
Why was Trump fired up and angry about McConnell’s poor leadership? Because on Wednesday McConnell had helped push forward the White House’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure package.
The Washington Times reports: “Mr. McConnell and 16 other Republicans joined all 50 Senate Democrats in backing the measure, ensuring it cleared the 60-vote hurdle needed to overcome a filibuster.”
