Several House Republicans are countering former President Trump’s disapproval of a recent strategy they devised to prevent a government shutdown, which appears to be facing challenges.
“An essential deadline looms at month’s end. Congressional Republicans have the power and responsibility to withhold funding from specific areas of what Trump refers to as Joe Biden’s ‘militarized Government’ that won’t secure the border and seemingly views a portion of the nation as adversaries,” Trump stated on social platforms following the announcement of the strategy.
