Netflix is the first major Hollywood studio to require a vaccine to work on U.S. productions. The mandate applies to “Zone A,” which includes the actors and anybody who comes into close contact with them while on set.
The new vaccine mandate may have been prompted by actor Sean Penn who said he would not return to the set of the show “Gaslit” until everybody on the production team had been vaccinated.
Netflix will offer limited exceptions to the mandate for religious, medical, and age-related reasons. Employees currently working on a production may also receive a temporary exemption.
Netflix is already a liberal left-leaning company, and their new policy may force out any conservatives still working there.
