On Monday, August 23, 2021, the FDA granted full approval to the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, making it the first Covid-19 vaccine to be fully approved outside of the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

Pfizer’s vaccine is now approved for those age 16 and older. “Hundreds of millions of doses of our vaccine already have been administered in the U.S. since December 2020, and we look forward to continuing to work with the U.S. government to reach more Americans,” said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
