Behind the Poll

President Biden plans to give the IRS $80 billion (or more) to increase their ability to track and audit Americans. Part of this plan would require banks to turn over all banking information on all accounts with more than $600 in them.

There has already been a lot of pushback on this plan. More than 40 trade associations have signed a letter and sent it to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. The letter calls on Congress to reject the $600 tracking requirement.
